I think that's the best answer, from a "technical" standpoint, so far. I wear mine cutting my own lawn and have never had any problems.

Perhaps the market for this forum has spoken. If you don't like the thread don't respond to it and it will disappear into obscurity (aka pg. 2). Furthermore if you enjoy discussing history there is an entire forum on this site dedicated to vintage Rolex. This forum is a general discussion so the topics will be random and every thread is not intended to wow you. Just my 2 cents.

Agree with your post. You shouldn't worry yourself with what the naysayers and debbie downers post because your question is legitimate. A forum is supposed to be a place for people to be able to ask questions and get assistance but most of the threads are dedicated to people pointing to random objects with their rolexes on, pictures of what they had for dinner, or what kind of expensive liquor they're drinking. Pretty sad that you get such negative pushback from an honest question.

Anyways I do mow my lawn with my Rolex and haven't had any issues. I was concerned about the vibrations but I also ride my motorcycle with my Rolex on and it hasn't seemed to phase it. Hope this helps.

My watch neither defines, not controls me. It's just a watch. I would never drink out of a Rolex-branded coffee mug, for example - that's too douch-y for my tastes. It is seriously just a watch to me. Albeit one I wear every day.

+1 It's just a watch and a great one at that. If you feel it was an expensive item, take precautions when in doubt. If you could replace it tomorrow and not think too much of it, wear it all the time!

It goes where I go daily. Has the marks and scars to prove it. Notice small chunk missing out of the bezel insert at 2 o'clock position. Not sure how that one happen.
