Admitting you have a problem is the first step
Im far too obsessed. Is there a way of being able to get the Rolex crown on the crown to face right side up when you screw it down???
Mine is almost upside down and I will be the first to admit I have a problem. http://s1266.photobucket.com/albums/...xplorerChris/?

Your local ad and watchmaker can set it anyway you want. For a fee. Usually 100$ I think. I say forget about it.

I feel better that I'm not the only one.
I live close enough to the Rolex Canada office to enquire

Ah, maybe you need an additional watch. The crown on my 214270 is right side up when screwed in. Unfortunately, the one on my 216570 is almost perfectly upside down.
BTW, the rest of that first step is understanding that you are powerless over this obsession. |

I had a scratch on my crystal and had that replaced. The hands had very little lume left and couldn't see in the dark so I had the hands replaced.

I noticed that my Omega has the omega upside down on the crown as well. Frankly if that's all I've got to worry about then I'm in pretty good shape.

My Explorer 1 39mm screws in crown up perfect every time. Honestly doesn't bother me either way, but I did notice it and by the third time or so I knew it was just made that way on purpose and not a fluke. Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Tapatalk |

It would be nice but I do wear my watches on my left wrist and never look at the crown.

It's completely random. Except on skydwellers I think. Those are all straight up.

I'm lucky that mine is exactly upside-down and I wear my watch 24/7 so I basically only see it when I am looking down at my wrist holding my left hand upwards, in which case the crown is actually sitting right-side-up from that point of view. I'm telling myself Rolex did this on purpose... special edition.

Mine points to 4 o'clock, doesn't bother me at all.

Admitting you have a problem is the first step
Look at it for at constantly least 10 minutes a day for a while and you'll be ok

I really don't care what way it points myself but for what it's worth on my ExpII it points to about 10 o'clock. On my blnr it points to 12 o'clock, which is nice but I got lucky because I didn't check for this when I bought it. I don't remember even looking at the crown when I bought it

Mine is at 2 o'clock. Glad no one's is at 6 or 7 O'clock as these are well known as fake tells.
