For me, i still prefer a shiny always looking new watch. but the natural wear and light hairline scratch does not really bother me, what bothers me are very deep scratches and gouges, case dents, chips on the sapphire crystal or anything that can no longer be restored without extensive case re welding, major parts replacement. i enjoy my watches but i usually do not wear them in really rough environments like construction sites, working around with tools and machineries etc..
