My scheme worked beautiful. The seeds have been sown. In about 1 year I’ll have you talking Dutch and walking about in clogs, eating cheese. Some of you even tried to answer me in Dutch, a result beyond my wildest dreams! Resistance is futile!
Added bonus: pot, trips to the Red Light district and watching footy matches all dressed in orange and banging on large drums. And beer swilling at the legal age of 16.

I think you got JJ's attention with the Red light district.
He's at work right now, ears perked right up even without a computer in sight. BTW, curiosity question. Around here, some some unkown reason, a popular shoe is something known as "Holey Shoes". They are rubber clogs with holes along the sole line. I do not own a pair, no one in my household owns a pair, but Dutch WannaBe's are wearing them everywhere. They come in bright colours too. Is this a local phenom?? Too much west coast life style?? Or is Fran succeeding in his plan to rule the world???

John, not sure if I'm thinking about the same thing, but there's these new rubber clogs going about in Melbourne that look like safety boots with the rear section chopped off. My friend waqs wearing a pair the other day, and all the time I was having lunch with her I sang the theme from the Mickey Mouse show.

They're called Croc's.....they're gaining popularity here in hawaii too. A lot of hospital staff wear them because they are comfortable too. So Dutch people really wear wooden clogs then??? I gotta get out more.... I do enjoy the red light district myself |
