Places to check out Rolex in Bangkok/Chiang Mai?
Before I get flamed... I know you nice people would not flame too badly. Ok flame away in good fun..
I did use the search function on TRF. Could not find anything on places whether they be ADs/Grays or used places to check out Rolex in Bangkok. Will be here till the 18th with very little to do. Just chilling. Then heading up to Chiang Mai to do some volunteer work and hang out. Any Rolex shopping/drooling advice? Thanks. |

In Bangkok MBK center has a lot of real watches, but plenty of the other junk too. You'll notice where the real stuff is. All used/grey dealers.
Siam Paragon shopping center has a lot of new watches, very very nice stores. Go before 6 PM. They close early.

Try MBK Mall, Tom, near National Stadium BTS station...fourth floor (as I recall). Quite a bit too see, not all of it real, but as close to Hong Kong-style vintage browsing as you will get in BKK, I think. Don't expect too much. I imagine the pickings will be pretty slim up in CM but never made a real effort to explore.
Edit: Andreas beat me to it! |

Side note yesterday while I was exchanging money at the airport right next to me was a European guy with a 16610 LV on. I had mine on! What a chance to say what's up and compliment him. To do so however I would have had to lean over his wife and kids and the money in their hands as he was the farthest from me. Choose not to spook the guy and kept my WIS-dom in check.

I'll look forward to it, mate. Incidentally my wife asked me today what there is to see and do in Fukuoka, as a lot of Thais go there and Thai Airways has direct flights.

Yea, that is the flight I took. 4 1/2 hours direct. Fukuoka was rated one of the most livable cities in Asia. Great food. Nice amazing people, beaches, nightlife, shopping, on and on.
