I have been on the hunt to re acquire a datejust I bought when I was 18 in college. I sold it to fund a submariner I bought when I was 22. IMO i made a mistake and have been trying to get it back ever since.

Jorge I believe The Hulk is the best modern day SS reference Rolex makes. I bought it a few years ago and sold it because I was always gravitating towards my Vintage Daytona and Vintage Explorer II. I then sold my Daytona to put the funds towards a 5235G (On Order) and then reacquired The Hulk only to sell it to my boss 4 days later LOL and decided to replace it with a Nautilus Blue Dial. I gave up 2 Rolex to get into 2 Pateks. The hardest part is waiting on these damn things to come in LOL

Sorry to tell you but you can't replace the Sub with the Nautilus. To me the Hulk has a place in my collection that it's hard to replace. You either end up re-acquiring the Sub or maybe utilizing the vintage Explorer II for those needs. (If you still have it)

You will be fine, looking forward for those incomings !

Cheers !

I use the Vintage Exp II for daily wear. It is very low key and a non WIS doesn't realize what it is or the price tag. I loved The Hulk but if I wore that daily in front of my customers it would stick out like a sore thumb and be bad for my business. The Pateks will be for those times that I am not at work and give me two nice options for casual and dressier attire.

Oh well, whatever works friend. Alternatively start using long sleeves

I'm embarrassed to say how many times I've flipped. I'm done with that I hope. I reacquired my SubC date recently. This one stays. I do have a few watches I will sell soon, but not to flip for others. (They haven't been worn in some time.)
