Home Invasion Providenciales Turks and Caicos

Hey all: Friday morning about 3:00 am my family and I experienced a home invasion in our Long Bay vacation home in Providenciales Turks and Caicos. The thugs broke through the sliding glass door with a crowbar. Proceeded to assault my son with the crowbar (he's OK). Threaten my wife, daughter, son and I with kidnapping to the nearest bank to withdraw funds. My family is not the type to cower so eventually we intimidated them to leave, but not before they took my wife's purse with all our credit cards, our backgammon board (go figure that one), my son's laptop computer, the rental car and my Sea Dweller.

The serial number of my Sea Dweller is F919095

Be cautious in the Turks as there is a flood of desperate immigrants from the Dominican Republic and Haiti. Desperate people do desperate things.

Blessing that you are all well, physically, if perhaps not entirely over the emotional turmoil.

The watch can be replaced, and these stories often end in much more sadness.

I hope you can enjoy whatever is left of your vacation!

Glad that everyone is safe.

My sister in law always visits T&C and she said it has always been safe.

I will have to tell her what you have said her!

Call Rolex and have them flag your serial number
People that do this kind of thing are truly a waste of skin and hair

So sorry to hear JB, the important thing is that you are all okay. Things can be replaced. Not sure what your police situation is there but hopefully it's positive. I would do as suggested and contact rolex and report the theft of your SD.

Man that's scary. Glad everyone made it out, relatively unharmed. Although while typing this, I'm thinking being assaulted with a crobar is hardly unharmed... Words can't describe how horrible this is. Hopefully your family stays strong together, and can someday put this horrible event behind you. I hope they catch these scum and toss them overboard in the mouchoir with cement boots

Sorry to hear! Glad that you and you're loved ones are ok though. My sis and BIL just flew out to Parrot Cay yesterday. Just sent messaged her about your unfortunate situation.

Read your review earlier today on trip advisor, saw ur SeaDwellerF name and wondered if it was a Rolex when you mentioned your watch was taken. The reason it stood out is because we're heading there in a few weeks. Now I know I'll be NOT taking my TT.
I'm glad to hear everyone is ok, we can't imagine what you and your family went thru.
We're staying in a condo on Grace Beach, I better keep this from my wife.
Glad your family is ok.

Wow. Glad everyone is safe.

We were just there over the summer, and all the locals were talking up how safe it was compared to places like Jamaica. We stayed in a resort, but were considering renting a house for future trips. I'll have to give that a second thought given your experience.
