that could work...they are also making an 18K Apple Watch Edition with the "hardest" gold in the world.

Agree 10k is harder...
I think they meant hardest 18k.

The new iPhone 6 is hot! I am definitely getting it. Preorders start this Friday 9/12 (assuming the usual 1:00am PST/3:00am EST time), for deliver Friday 9/12. I will definitely be setting my alarm to preorder :)

The markets going crazy today. What's going on.

On another note, why would you spend 350 for a watch that will be out dated every year or even sooner. I must be missing something about this iWatch

Secondary resale market will support. I know a lot of people who buy new a new iPhone as soon as it's released, and they sell their old phone to cover some of the cost.

Apple iPhone 6 announcement today!

I watched the stock price during announcement. I know it's not a perfect barometer but here's my

Up before announcement.

Up some more as iPhone 6 & 6+ are unveiled and stayed pretty steady at that level.

Up again on news of ApplePay and IIRC it was up about 3-4% at that point.

Then "One More Thing" - Apple Watch - and shares began to slip. Kept slipping during U2 performance. Lost all gains during the live announcements.

Then went truly negative when Tim Cook gave away 500 million free copies of new U2 album via iTunes. By my reckoning that was almost $50 Billion USD in free stuff...nice for iTunes customers...not floating institutional investor's boats.

I have both - my wife loves her MB Air, I love my MB Pro with the retina display. Really depends on if you need the ultra-light portability or not. I would personally buy the 13.3 MB Pro retina - close to best of both worlds. Buy a USB burner - neither the Air or Pro has a built in super drive any longer.

Yes, you're way overdue for a new phone.

FWIW, the iPhone 4s was a great phone. I really like the weight. It felt like it was overbuilt. The 5/5s felt much cheaper and that was the reason why I sold my 5s. The new phones appear to be much nicer.

iPhone 6 is ugly. Thanks for the 4.7 screen. Steve Jobs would not approve. I don't think I'll ever give up my 4S. I just wish 32gb was avail when I bought it. 5S screen is awesome, but the phone is too tall. Apple should have kept the 4" screen and just made the phone smaller. At least have 4" and 4.7". 4.7 and 5.5? What a joke. I'm not blind, but I guess millions of other people are.

I think the new phones are great but appear to have only caught up to the competition. I had hoped for a huge advancement as I've been waiting 9 months past my upgrade period opening for this thing. Now I'm just not sure.

The spec war is pointless. Although Apple often falls short when it comes to raw power, the way that every aspect of the phone comes together is better than most, if not every Android device.

Yeah I just didn't feel the 5 was a big improvement. That and I bought this cool cherry wood caseback for my 4s that I really loved. I figured if it broke then I would switch, but years later it stands strong like Janay Rice.

well, 18k gold is 75% gold. It is difficult to get a good toughness value because of the relative higher gold content.

Which version are you guys planning on getting? If everything was the same, my first instinct would be to go with the 4.7", but the 5.5" has some nice upgrades so I am not sure which model to go with.
