I've only seen one black SS in a display case here in the bay area. It was in the window display at a ben bridge of all places.

Available, but hard to come by. Most AD's sell theirs within a day or two after arrival from what I have been told.

This thread comes up at least once a week. NOT HARD to find, at all, no matter where you are. Go in the store, throw 12K on the table and see how quick one appears. I could have bought a Deep Sea Challenge today if I wanted to at a local AD. Fortunately for me, I hate the way the DSSD looks. Oh, and I also know they had several SS Daytonas in the safe. If all else fails, contact a RF TS here.

To the OP: Not sure if you want to buy one in the near future or just want to try one on in person to see if you really want one. Please elaborate. I was lucky enough to see one on display in an AD here in Austin a couple of years back when the economy was slow, but when I was ready to buy, I had to wait a few months for my AD to get me one. I'd suggest expanding your radius outside LA if you want to see one in person. Call ahead to an AD, tell them you are ready to purchase one today IF they have one in stock. Someone will have one. Good luck in your search. The hunt will make you appreciate it more than if they sold them on every corner. The white stainless Daytona is a beautiful watch.

Regarding the SS. I just ran the local shops the only ones I saw in the case where at ED Marshall and Tournneu (sp). both where used. The local Rolex dealers do have them but I didn't see any New in the case. you normally have to ask.
To the OP get away from LA and find a dealer that is at a boutique level dealer and you can get one. We have several dealers in the Phoenix area but the two local shops will sell them without to much hassle. The chain store dealers usually need to play the little games. If you want a BLNR no one has it.

Funny enough, the BLNR isn't moving in about 3 ADs I visited, they've been on display for at least 2 months now. A month ago there weren't even any discount to be had on it but now they are offering some percentage off w/o even asking.

The watch is about hype, the ADs still tell you it's a 5-7 year wait so when they offer you one in a matter of months you buy into the hype.
Wonder if rolex will be brave enough to increase its price in the next price rises when ever that is, that will for sure kill any waiting lists world wide for sure |

If you're ready and having trouble finding one, why not contact one of the Trusted Sellers right here? You'd have it on your wrist in a day or two.

Sounds like availability is largely determined by geography. I would love to see some photos of new s/s Daytonas in ADs. Not doubting some of the posts that say they're readily available, but I really really hunted high and low in NYC to no avail.

One AD had one in the back.
Seen lots of TT Daytonas in display cases. No problem as I could just pick one up from DavidSW |

A few months ago I was in the same pickle. Called around and all ADs quoted non in stock. Ended up buying out of state.
Just last week I visited one of the ADs who supposedly doesn't have one in stock. When she glanced at my wrist, her expression told me she's kicking herself for playing hard to get. Even commented "you just couldn't wait". Point is, most ADs have a 116520 in the back. Some are just driving up artificial demand by telling you how exclusive and long the wait-list is. Just leave your contact and wait 2-3 weeks for the pickup call. Don't fall into their game. If they won't budge on discount, walk out. Plenty of Daytonas out there and here from trusted sellers. |

+2 I'm so over the whole AD thing. That said, if you are bent on the AD route - they are out there. Cash on the barrel head as they say will get you one maybe even with a little off.

Black dial ss Daytona is almost mission impossible in HK if you want to go down the AD route. White dial is much much easier here.

+1 No way they had 10 SS on display. My guess is they were 2 tone and gold.Hawaii has low sales tax the tourists would snatch them up. I went to the Rolex store in Waikiki last week and no SS Daytona's or BNLRs.
