I used it on my old 16613 on the center links and it works great on light surface scratches.

Anything deep or scuffs or the unpolished parts of the watch it's not recommended for it will start to polish flat finished surfaces which is not good.

Not as much, when it's a deep scratch to be honest. But, for swirls and light scratches, it does work.

I tried it yesterday with the same result. I had a couple on the clasp that did not come out. I did not press real hard though. Tks!
