I got a $1000 discount on my LVC bought a month ago.
I'm guessing I did well. |

116610LV Ceramic GREEN Sub owners thread....
Quote:
I wanted a watch for scuba. I was between the deep sea, sea dweller and sub ( all black) Thanks to this thread I bought the LV. This thread pushes you. At the AD in person you can really appreciate it. It changes tones with different lighting. Amazing watch. More than enough depth rating for a human being (300 meters). 99% of diving has a max depth of 40 meters. Aesthetically Perfect size for my taste and wrist. Never a fan of the maxi case...
... and i'm still not one.
That said, I chanced upon the 'hulk' at my local pawn store. Had seen many pictures of it here on TRF. Knew there was something fishy about that green dial. How each shot of it makes it so special.. (not to mention, green has always been my favourite colour ever since I learnt about colours when I was growing up) So, I saw how the dial dances under the store lights.. decided to pick her up and put it on my wrist. BOOM!!! It just looked awesome!! I was drawn in to the rich green of the dial that I totally ignored (the existence of) the maxi case and maxi dials!! Sure, I dislike the maxi cases and dials on Gmt's and other sub... But this green dial is a beauty!! So much so that I would actually consider getting one!! Yes, knowing all the upgrades the new models have, adds to the wow factor. I still wouldn't pull the trigger on a maxi case/dial yet.. But if it's gonna happen, the hulk probably will be the 1st in line... (if I can save enough for her, that is) Guys, all the pics here are just too awesome! Thanks for posting them! But ya know, sometimes you just wanna have more visuals to it... I mean, if I have one right now, I would be fiddling, meddling and can't stop staring/glancing at it.. So for someone like me, who might need more than pics to contain the urge, (whilst not being able to pull the trigger just yet)... I find this VID http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DhsjizEjuHI very very helpful (or not) in helping me contain myself... Cos they say, a picture is worth a thousand words... So if it's a video, it must be worth more than a million.. Enjoy your watches guys! I wouldn't know when I could join you guys and take a pic of the hulk on my wrist yet... Fingers crossed... |

You did do well. Got mine for about $1,200 off the MSRP. Have heard from other Forum members no discounts can be had. I guess we are the lucky few.

Did the original green sub anniversary come with only a green bezel and a black face?
Is this color combo available in the ceramic version?? Just curious, a brief history would be awesome. |

Pictures Lie . . . in both directions . . .
Every picture I'd ever seen of the green sub, I was thinking, "Are you kidding me? I'm puking."
Then yesterday, the manager selling me a coat at, Letter J Men's Boutique in Manhattan was wearing one. And it was stunning. I mean really a gorgeous watch. Lesson: I can't judge a watch by it's digital cover! |
