It depends. I just learned this with my 116509 Daytona when a chrono pusher fell off. Only the inside of the case is guaranteed to be covered. Everything outside the case including crown, pushers, and bracelet are discretionary. My AD informed me that although the outside of the case isn't covered, that they have never seen a repair get billed to the customer during the warranty period if it was truly a defect and not physical damage.

That being said, I am waiting now to hear whether the pusher is covered for me. My AD has already said they will cover the cost if there is indeed a charge for my repair. I will say this though. If Rolex chooses not to cover my defect, it will be my last purchase from an AD and hello to DavidSW for future transactions as this experience will show me what all that extra money spent for the factory warranty is really worth.

You don't need to buy from an AD to get the Rolex warranty.

Rolex can choose to deny a warranty claim though should the watch not have been purchased from an AD though. Correct?

If the warranty card has an AD stamp on it, which they usually do, you are covered, as is any subsequent owner within two years of the date on the card.

If your AD will cover the cost (if Rolex don't) then surely this is a great endorsement for buying from an AD?

Thanks for the update as I just noticed my pearl was missing and I can live with $65.

I accidently got a hit on the pearl on my 116610ln and the pearl cracked but luckely nothing else seems damaged. I was initially a little worried that maybe I need to replace the whole bezel but luckely I saw this thread.

Is it probable that all RSC have this tool and can change it while I´m at the store or is it more complex?

$65 seems like a reasonable price.

Old thread, but for relevance, I had a cracked one on a DeepSea 116660. It was $80 going through an AD. I've heard stories of these being covered under warranty. Watch was crazy clean. Rolex said case was scratched and dented. Under a loupe maybe, but not to the naked eye. Almost like they looked for a way to charge me something.

Obviously a common problem since they significantly reduced the profile on the 12X references.

Got a reply from the local AD. About 230USD they want for fixing it and they needed 2-3 days.

$65 is incredibly inexpensive considering luxury watch 'repair'.
