FS: Vintage Rolex 16800 Submariner Matte Dial circa 1984

Rolex 16800 stainless steel submariner date with Mk2 matte dial. Hands and dial have great matching creamy patina! With this watch, you can truly have the best of both worlds. The matte dial gives off the classic vintage vibe, but with a modern quickset movement and durable sapphire crystal. An interesting piece that you can also wear everyday. Serial number 8350xxx was manufactured in appoximately 1984.

Condition:
Previously polished case is in 87% "very good" condition per the TimeZone guidelines with some scratches, but no major nicks or dings. Dial has a couple of tiny blemishes that are very difficult to capture in photos, what almost looks like the onset of becoming a "tropical" dial. Also note that while the bezel has awesome fading, it is an aftermarket replacement piece. The original damaged (cracked at pearl) insert will also be included. Service history is unknown, but watch is running well within COSC specs. Bracelet does not have too much stretch and features 11 links. One of the permanent links has been removed.

Accessories:
Watch only. No box or paperwork. The modern Rolex box in some of the photos is just a prop and is not included.
