Sky Dweller Regret?
Hi all -
I've been considering a Sky Dweller for some time. I really like it, but it's bigger than my other watches and wears big because it's pretty thick. I hate to get it and have buyer's remorse. I see some big discounts on them and a bunch of pre-owned available. Which makes me wonder - did anyone that bought one have any regrets -- and why? |

I love mine and want a second.
No regrets. Went with the WG, and will add the rose. JPS |

My ONLY reservation every time I have the watch on is the GMT subdial. It bothers me at times, but as for the weight and thickness of the watch, I enjoy it.

Just because the other owners have no regrets and love theirs does not mean you won't have buyer's remorse/regret if and when you decide to get yours. Based on the fact that you are already questioning your possible decision, I have a feeling this may not be for you. Good luck in whatever your decision turns out to be.

Just remember, retail is $46-48k. If you want to resell it you should expect 30-32k. So if you can't buy it right and then you regret it later, it's a bit of a hit to take.
Been there, done that on many watches unfortunately! Easy to get over when it's an SS model, not so much for gold. |

My Rolex Lineup. Sky Dwellers are the favorites of the group. Probably would not have purchased the RG DD II if the RG Sky Dweller with the chocolate dial was available at that time.
If you don't want compliments from strangers, I would stay away from the Sky Dwellers! |

Nice collection Excelsior, take a few more pics of the white gold skydweller and post some pics. I am pretty sure that is the only WG Skydweller on bracelet as no-one else as posted any pics..and personally i think that one is the best combo. Although the RG with choc dial looks lovely as well.

I don't own one, but i love this reference. I tried one on at my local AD and thought it was the perfect size at 42 mm. Beautiful wrist presence, and I really like how the GMT time is displayed. GO FOR IT!

More likely skydweller envy to be experienced than regret.

I'm moving down from 44mms to 40-1mm so the size would be a problem for me, the DD2 Choco suits me better.

No regrets here but I am still in the honeymoon phase only owning this one for a month. It is my favorite Rolex and my first RG.
I highly advise you not basing your decision off any posted regrets or praise like mine. I thought over my purchase for 5 months as I did not want to make a mistake.
