Daytona WG Which dial?

This has been asked many times but trends come and go. Which is the better option on the WG Daytona?

The one that you like the best.

They are all great!!! The WG version provides for some stunning dials.

The SS come in black and white. The WG provides many more options.

All WG dials are gorgeous, but the panda dial is something else on a different level:

I would have a hard time buying a watch with a natural dial where the finishes can vary dramatically between timepieces without seeing it in the flesh. I have seen some meteorite, mother of pearl, and sodalite dials that I didn't really care for and others that looked spectacular.

.

If you check the various master catalogs since 2004 (when 116509 was disclosed), only black and white dials are available. All other WG dials are dedicated to the leather strap model 116519.

I know we can easily find on the market (including from AD) most others dials on bracelet version.

I wonder why this exception exists for Daytona, as generally Rolex respect Master catalogs lists of dials for a given model ...

Some do have patterns much nicer than others though. I would have a hard time saying any of them actually looked bad.

Tom, I don't want to derail the thread, but is there any way you can send me a few full resolution macro shots of the Platona in sunlight? My girlfriend does not have one in her store but has had a few clients ask and they all want to see some closeups under natural light rather than the stock photos Rolex has. She would really appreciate it.
