1964 Tudor Sub Restoration...... (pic heavy)

So I purchased this 1964 Tudor Submariner 7928 calibre T.390 back in January 2014.

A little rough scratched and cracked crystal, broken and incorrect bracelet, broken crown wheel and not working.

Its now back from restoration and looking stunning.
Repaired crown wheel, new crystal and serviced.

Being as the bracelet is broken and incorrect for this reference, I've decided to not repair it and source the correct riveted bracelet.
At the moment I have it on a Hirsch 'James' strap.
But have a few different strap options and have just ordered a couple of others.
Let me know what you think. Before and after pictures, and a couple of wrist shots of course....

Great restoration job and really nice pics. I especially like the dome shot with the upended Rolex logo reflecting off the side of the case

Great watch and a great restoration !!

If the bracelet is original to the watch, don't forget about Michael Young over in Hong Kong; I'm sure he could refurbish it back to awesome...

Many of these early Tudors came with either a Rolex OR Tudor bands and crowns...

Unfortunately the bracelet is not original to the watch so not going to repair it at the moment, unless it need it for something later down the line.
Thanks for the heads up on Michael Young though.

Looks very nice.

While I was getting my bracelet lengthened I wore this leather strap from DaLuca Straps. I had him punch only 5 holes:
