I tried that but I couldn't catch the cat!

Buy yourself a YG Skydweller immediately. The minus ions in the gold zap any cat dander in the air and you'll be off that pesky Claritin in a jiffy.

I love our two former stray cats I rescued and who are now our "kids" but I like being a jackass more- thus my post above. OP, whatever you decide I'm sure you'll do the right thing.

You couldn't pay me to live in a house with cats. I have allergies to them as well. As a matter of fact, when we were shopping for a house 3 years ago, we could go into a home, even with no cat present, and I would be suffering in about 10 minutes if they had cats there. I can barely stand to go to a good friend of mine's house.

The only way I found relief was benadryl, but that makes me tired all the time. I will usually pop one before we go anywhere with cats. 1 works okay. 2 works well but I am knocked out.

I started allergy shots over the summer and am looking for any other ideas on how not to suffer. I've been told by many people, make the bedroom a cat free environment, but that may or may not go over well with the little lady.

What do you guys recommend, any secret remedies?
Tell her to trade her current cats for a breed that doesn't have an undercoat and is far less likely to produce dander (which is what triggers the allergies)
