Yep, made me a happier person.
Don't much care about the feelings of others regarding what is on my wrist. That is their issue to fix.

I was going to say no, but Miss Jody just caught me on the Rolex Forum again. She said, "yes it has changed your behavior -- you are spending too much time on that darn forum and me". She has a point, but hanging out here is fun.

best car I have ever owned, and I love my dealer, which I have never said about any car dealer ever. There really is a reason why Lexus is tops in customer satisfaction. And a few more bests: Rolex/Jeager LeCoultre = Best made watches under $10,000. Absolutely the most able to take abuse, and still work, both brands apply. Lexus = Best mass produced luxury car for the money. Apple = Best computer and OS, period. Nothing else even close. Chinese or Thai girlfriends/wives= Once you date one for a while, you will never go back, EVER. Trust me on this one. Ambien CR= When you absolutely, positively, need to go to sleep. Best BBQ= South Carolina with the mustard based sauce, I have dreams about the stuff! My personal "Bests" list, but you know I'm right. Last edited by Atl; 20 April 2008 at 05:27 PM.. Absolutely.
I no longer wear rough fabrics or sleeves that are too tight. Ideally, I like to wear T-shirts and just make sure that I never bang my watch against anything. I'm neurotic.

In one simple answer, yes.
Just how they have changed my behavior....why I can go on and on and on talking about that...

O.K. just hand your watches over to me and then you can redeem yourself as a nice guy, at least in my eyes anyway

I will admit that wearing a Rolex has boosted my confidence a bit because it represents a fruit of my labor. It's not the same as driving a Ferrari or anything, but it does make me proud to think that I've arrived at a place where I can afford something this nice.
I mentioned in an earlier post about how I've discovered that most people don't even notice my Daytona. This is either because I'm too good looking to notice it : or because it's not as immediately recognizable as a Sub or DJ. I think this is just fine because I don't wear it to flaunt or show off. I wear it for myself. In terms of behavior? Not much has changed. I guess I protect my left wrist more. |

True, after the first couple scratches I said forget it! I wear it and hardly take it off. What I meant was that in my circle of family and activities, I tend to cover it up with my sleeves, to prevent judgment, like I've seen happen to my parents and friends that have nice things.

[QUOTE=Atl;553638]If you don't want to put up with the usual BS at a dealership, buy a Lexus, best car I have ever owned, and I love my dealer, which I have never said about any car dealer ever. There really is a reason why Lexus is tops in customer satisfaction.

It has not changed my behavior at all.
I wear mine with a NATO, so not many people give it too much though because it isn't on a bracelet, and if they do notice it is a Rolex, the first question is always "is that real?!" I don't really take any special measures to hide it from view, or expose it.

When I first starting wearing my Sea Dweller (2 months ago) I was very self conscious about people noticing my watch, however the more I wear it, the more I realize that no one even notices or cares what watch you are wearing.
