seem legit? ROLEX GMT Master Yellow Gold Steel ROOT BEER Circa 1972 # 1675

Hello all. Looking for my second, and have always loved the root beer GMT for some reason. Thoughts appreciated!

Offered from Hill Street Watches

Thanks,

Mike

Sorry to disagree but I think the dial looks like a reprint and the hands look pretty awful. There are much better ones out there.

Thanks for the feedback! I'll keep looking... I'd love to spend at or under 5k...I'm wondering if at 5k this is representative of what I'd spend?

For a good root beer, you will be closer to 6K....

Crown looks severely discoloured, a little weird I've never seen one like this but I am no expert.
The discoloration around where the hands are pinned down seems a bit unusual as well. Possibly water damage and has now rusted? Possibly..
Patina looks odd as well, not matched, seems to be possibly painted on with a thin paintbrush it's uneven in a non natural way imo but I'm no expert. In my opinion now having been burned before if there is any doubt in a vintage model walk away. It can be an expensive mistake
