Explorer II

Hi Guys!

What do you think about this Explorer II - N285xxx?

Is that a transition Watch?

It looks like a 16550 to me!

Tanks!

It's a polished mess that someone slapped incorrect hands on. So sad :(

16570 because it has the 3185 movement.

Hands are mis-matched and should be black like the dial indices.

The radial lines on the bezel have been polished off

Nice watch. I was just looking at white face Explorer II's thinking one would be a good partner to my 1675

Very nice looking! Are these repainted hands?
The original ones have some "shine" to them, these look kind of matt.

Cool nonetheless!

Not truly vintage and with the mods I say not collectable either. Is it cheap?

Do they glow in the dark? Original tritium should not glow at this age.
Actually here are set of hands, tritium, vintage, for comparison.
Patina is barely developed there and yours have it quite serious.

Just wondering, not claiming yoirs are fake, do not get me wrong.
But as I said , I like it a lot, cool match of vintage patine, despite being slightly artificial looking.
