Vintage Prince Question
Hi everyone. I'm new here. I've developed an interest for vintage watches and came across this at an antiques dealer today. I'm curious if anyone has any info on the Prince in the picture. I have looked online but haven't come across anything that quite matches it. It was in a display case so I wasn't able to get much more info about it other than the picture. Thanks in advance!

Refinished dial ....
Julian has great knowledge on the Rolex Prince and an enviable collection.
I'd agree with him that the dial appears to be refinished and importance of an an internal inspection can't be understated. Not much difference between the Rolex Prince and its Gruen counterpart - essentially the same case and Aegler movements. But the subtle differences greatly influence the value. A refinished dial on a Rolex Prince will pull down the value and if any Gruen branded parts have crept in, the value plummets. Plenty of totally fake Prince dials out there too - including items that have been carefully aged. Rolex Prince's are so cool but it's best to tread with caution. |

Thanks so much for your feedback guys, I appreciate it. I don't know very much at this point - but am having a lot of fun learning.
