Can't blame you. The Milgauss is a very interesting model, too.
What do you think about the new DSSD?

To be honest, I've only seen one picture, but it looked good!!
I like the idea of it too, I know nobody will ever go down that deep, but it's still kind of cool to have a watch that can. Are they going to be hard to get hold of? I'd like a SS daytona (just like most people) or a green crystal Milgauss, it's just a shame that you can't get hold of them unlessyou're willing to pay way over MSRP Will the SDDS be just as rare? |

Welcome to TRF. I'm sure your wife was not standing over your shoulder when you were complimenting her on her hairy arms. With your sense of humor you'll blend in real good here. You have a fabulous watch. I think the SDDS will be hard to come by at first and the greedy one's will try to make a profit over it's desirability. Hopefully it won't be as limited as the GV Milgauss is. Enjoy your stay and I am eager to watch your collection grow. Hard not to when you've got the bug. Terry Newton

I'll take a picture of the wife's watch when she gets in from work (she's in the police) see what you think? She's a good sport, the hairy arms comment wouldn't bother her.... much it's a shame that the daytona is in such short supply, I'm not rich, but could just about manage to buy one at list price, but i certainly can't afford to pay £6,800 ish for a new one from a dealer...same with the milgauss GV, I can't afford £8k for one, which is what i've seen the odd one going for there's so many watches that i'd like (IWC Portugueser, Vacheron, any tourbillon etc) to buy, I just need to win the lottery first Watches facinate me, I didn't buy a Rolex for the benefit of anybody else, I genuinly don't care if nobody else in the world knows I've got one, I bought it for me, I bought it to make me happy, I bought it because there's just something good about owning a Rolex... does that make me sad? maybe to some people, but life's short, so i don't worry about that |

A big welcome to TRF, Cosmonaut - have a great time taking part and having fun with fellow members.
I like your stance on your Sea-Dweller - that you bought it for YOU and you enjoy wearing it for your own enjoyment. It's a great looking watch.

the wife's watch
we'll never forget our trip to Vegas for many reasons, the biggest of course is that we got married but coming a close second is just how lucky the wife was at gambling first night there and she wins $1,100 in 30 minutes on a slot machine, then a couple of days later she dropped the jackpot on a 1c machine of $1,000 and she finished the week off in style.... we had finished walking around on our last night and decided to head off to bed, as we passsed the last roulette table, she stops and puts our final $25 on black, it comes up black, she lets it ride and it comes up black again...she takes this off and puts $25 on her birthday number 5 and it drops in ...she's walking to the cage with $1,000 again!!! it made our holiday as we're not rich by any means.... and this was all at The Belagio Anyway, two very happy people coming back, both with a Rolex to remember our time in that crazy place |

Thats a lovely looking SD, and like you say you'll soon get the bug for more being on here. I'm pretty new on here too and already want an Anniversary Sub, Daytona and a Milgauss. |

Great story and great watches. Now if you want to see a hair arm, just go searching for some of JJ's wrist shots. Glad to have you here. You seem to have good humor.
