Who's removed the fliplock from their SD4000?
How many of you have removed the fliplock extension link from your SD4000? I have smaller 6.75in wrists and the longer fliplock goes into the bend in my wrist. Wondering if removing the fliplock and replacing it with my extra links would be better?

You might go to your AD and let him try that for you.
I'm fine with mine the way it is. |

I removed it when I had one - easy to do, just remember to heat it up if the screw is frozen due to Loctite

You mean the dive extension? Yes I took mine out. Just pay attention to the screws, the one from the extension is slightly smaller

Interesting modification, I've not heard of this before.
Sounds like a great way of making the bracelet more comfortable on the wrist.

Just took out the fliplock/dive link extension and replaced it with two links, fits much better and the glidelock is more than enough adjustment even if your wearing over a wetsuit.

Took it off as soon as I received the watch. Fits brilliantly on my relatively thin wrist.

Seems most folk remove it right away. I would do the same.

Yes, otherwise a bit of the extension would be poking out of the clasp.

I asked the AD to do that before I left the store with my 116660. I had heard this was a good idea and allowed the watch to fit a bit better. I've got no complaints...

Mine is gone as well, makes the bracelet fit perfect without it.

Hello. First post here. Picked up my SD4K 2 weeks ago and had the flip lock removed before I left the AD. Looks well engineered, but don't need it and it looks neater without.

Looking at this thread responses, I feel the question should have been, who didn't remove the fliplock from SD4K

Funny this thread came out. I was just thinking of removing the fliplock on my SD4K. This thread makes it an easy decision!

As for the diver extension link, I also removed mine from my DSSD. The glide lock is adequate enough for minor adjustments on the fly, so the divers extension (unless you're a diver with a dry/wet suit) isn't needed.
