15300 VS 15450. What do you say? - Pics (POLL)
What is your opinion?
My wrists are 6", maybe just very slightly a little larger. I think both work well. The 15300 was the manager's at the AD, not in great condition but I got the chance to try it out at least to see how the 39MM 15300 looks. Oddly enough it fits my wrist better than the 15202 which doesn't sit very well. The 15450 silver dial is beautiful, the watch is not small, but definitely does not have the presence of the 39MM 15300. Is it just me or does the silver dial on the 15450 give the appearance of a dressier watch? Which do you think looks nicer on my wrists? |

15300 by a comfortable margin in my opinion!

I would go for the silver dial of the 450, the 300 has a flat white dial, plus the 450 fits you better imho.

Both look good, but my vote goes to the 15300. I like the way the 39mm looks on you a bit more plus the size is more in-line with today standards so you would probably sell it faster if needed.
Good luck! |

I think the 15300 suits you better. It's also a good choice to go for the blue dial 15300

I am looking at a black dial 15400 myself, so I could definitely recommend the black dial to you. I like the black dial over the white because it is a good contrast to the magnificent shine you will already be getting from the bracelet, and that the black dial seems to change "brightness" in different light settings. If the blue dial 15400 wasn't so hard to locate I would buy it , but I'm pretty set on the black dial 15400! At the end of the day you should pick whatever you think would suit you best. Either way both the white and black look great on you. Good luck :)

Leaning slightly to the 15450. Definitely dressier.

haha I felt the same way, immediately gravitated to the 15450, but might be because of the white shirt. I also always seem to gravitate towards silver/white dial watches in general, so there's that personal preference I have. I do think the 15450 looks more dressy, whereas the larger size of the 15300 is a more sporty look.

Leaning toward the white dial....looks nice on you. that silverish white dial is something else under different set of lighting.

I like the 15450 on you but either is fine size wise. 15300 looks more modern on you ala 15400 on me, while 15450 looks classic and beautiful ala 15202.

I voted 15300, with the blue dial. I love that particular dial. I wish the 15400 blue dial was the same shade. I would get one for sure.

Thank you guys for the responses and poll votes.
I CANNOT seem to make up my mind, as I love them both for different reasons! Obviously going to go and try them both a few more times before I make up my mind about anything. The 15300 has better wrist presence, and is sportier - which will give it more wrist time most likely. The 15450 has a mesmerising silver dial, and is understated at that size which can be really a nice thing too - also dressier and will probably fit under the cuffs better. |

Really like the 15450, there hasn't been a black or blue dial released for the 15450 yet correct? I think a black dial 15450ST would be the sweet spot for my 6.5" wrist. I find lug length bothers me and it looks like the 15300ST is a lot bigger length wise...

I would go for 15300 for my 7,5" but in you case the 15450 fits better.

Really tough call.
The blue dial is lovely, and would be my choice all day long...if it weren't for the size. I have small wrists (c.6.25" I think) and I'm very conscious of watches being too big. It can be very tempting to go for the best looking watch, but it can often then look a bit silly on those of us with smaller wrists, which then makes it the worst looking watch. I have the new Rolex Sea Dweller which is probably about the right size, but only because I wear it reasonably lose, and it's a watch that looks good loose (IMO). I am considering an AP and I have to say that I think the Royal Oak looks better as a tight fit, which means getting the size right is more critical. It's also the case that I see the RO as an elegant/smart watch so don't see the need for wrist presence, in fact quite the opposite. The Royal Oak is the epitome of understated cool, so the smaller model is the way to go for your wrists, it looks bloody awesome!
