Milgauss GV
I wanted to inform any members that are lucky enough to own a GV Milgauss to consider the following.
1. Rolex a not going to produce many of these watches. 2. There are only about 15/20 GV Watches in the UK The staff at Rolex HQ have stated to me that if you have one of the GV's try not to wear it and leave it as near to unworn as possible, or even better leave it in the ox with all the tags in place. And Now for the best BIT THESE WATCHES IN THE NEXT 10 YEAR WILL BE WORTH IN EXCESS OF £40000.00 EACH. SO IF YOU ARE LUCK ENOUGH TO OWN ONE ITS WORTH CONSIDERING.. MARK |

that's a stretch and a half!!
True the owners are lucky, but not because of future worth, because they can wear it!! I bet it will be worth a pretty penny in 10 years, but with inflation and cost of living so what...

Rolex UK reckon they are going to be rarer thans hens teeth.... as the saying goes.
I was fortunate to get my GV in Feb this year and it has not even been out if its box. Rolex uK even fitted the 2 extra links to the watch before they sent it to my AD. |

The manual wound Cosmographs are also fetching astronomic amounts, but even the current SS Daytona will never reach those prices.

If not, can you please ask the soothsayer at Rolex HQ what a GMT II c will be worth in 20 years? (I've got all the bits & pieces). Kinda hard to believe the staff at Rolex are recommending that you do not wear one of their watches!

If they stopped making them tomorrow I could see that happening. Otherwise I cant see how £40,000 would be likely.

I don't think Service center employees know anything about what happens in Geneva.

If I could choose a 2nd rolex it would probably be a Milgauss GV. I love the lightning second hand & green crystal, though I've not seen one in the flesh yet.
It seems like I would be priced out though, given the rarity! |

I thought there was a guy who worked at Rolex on this site. I wonder what his opinion is or if he has some inside information.

I seem to recall a similar story being told about the Sub LV the first couple of years that was in production too.

I'm sure that there are more than 20 in the UK.....I know 2 people who have them so that would mean I know a tenth of the owners....not sure about that one!

We will have to wait and see about the GV the demand for this watch according to my contact at rolex is outrageous and even in the UK they reckon the waiting lists in some areas are already 5/7 years.
My contact reckons the GV will become as sought after as the steel daytona and the new deep sea will be in the same boat. mark |

New MG GV grey market 8000 pound plus!!!!!!
I'd rather ask my IFA buddy to invest it for me. I sure with a decent medium to high risk unit trust fund...in ten years time it'll be worth more than a MG GV. But you cry....if you had the watch you would have the pelasure of it....Not if it is sat in a safe with all the stickers still on it. If only 20-25 GV in whole world then I'd believe the forecast...as it stands, I'd rather invest my money on the markets and spend the rest on a watch that I could enjoy....like a Pepsi...*Drool. Buy a watch to wear and enjoy! J |
