Thanks for the info. My problem is I can't decide what I like better... I have lately enjoyed all my bracelet watches on leather. But with the BB, as much as I love the look on leather or a strap, I keep going back to the bracelet. I think Tudor nailed it with the look and proportions. Maybe I'll try leather again this Fall and Winter.

It's been a while since this thread was posted to; I received mine today...It's already sized at the AD who were really nice. Gave me a Rolex magazine even. Had a long talk with the Rolex sales guy (Dave at Long's in Peabody, MA) who's been doing his job for 30 years. Even owns stock in my company. At any rate he was saying he believes these are the best selling watch in the Tudor line. It was nice to talk to someone who actually is a collector and enthusiast as well as sales. Had a great time getting the watch adjusted.

Yes sir, my wife has one and now I do as well. Very nice watch. BTW; Dave who I mentioned above is really fond on the THC in blue. He also mentioned how big a hit the Ranger is.

Those three are my daily rotation now (well, the Grey THC, and not the Ranger -- the wife has the bracelet sized down to 5.5inch for now). See any more in your future?

FWIW, Dave, was telling me about how a Rolex rep was in the store a few years ago and a smaller gent followed him in. The second guy had one of the BBRs on his wrist. It was prior to Tudor being re-intro'd in the US. At any rate Dave started telling him about the history of the model (the older ones) and the choice of the red bezel to keep them from fading in the sun. Turned out it was the Tudor president on his way to Long's home office to reintro the brand. Likely Tudor US's president. |

It's possible I misunderstood but I was pretty impressed that in a brief discussion he'd bring up the history of the watch. Not quite what I'd expect from a sales clerk.

Just curious if anyone has brushed the polished sides? I'd love to see a picture if so. If one were to do that, would it be fully reversible to get that factory like polish back?

It's funny because I was trying to find what the fabric strap was made from earlier this week and I came across the spread by Jocke. I guessed it was his before I saw his name at the end from the photographic style. The photo shoot was super.
And fwiw, the materials in the Black Bay fabric strap are polyethylene, cotton, and silk. |

Great pair, wait until you try the BBR on the fabric strap. It is amazing.

My BB
You must forgive pic quality, David Bailey I am not. Had my Black Bay a few months now but didn't post a pic at the time. So special, love it's size and wrist presence. I will be honest took me a while to get used to the red. It seemed so bright at the time but in reality it is not. The dial hands are unique and I find myself often just staring. What really confirmed it all is when i picked up oem leather and clasp. A brand new look, or vintage look rather to the watch. I love it on bracelet but there islittle doubt leather must of been the designers intended vision.
I wresetled with flipping for a 114060 but i honestly can say I wouldn't be happy. I thought it would be a no brainer but the bb sits perfectly with it's size flat case back. I much prefer the width of the bb case back but love the shape lugs on the sub c. In the end I have realised I already own the perfect watch for me. I don't want to pay £5000 and feel I've had to commpromise. Oh and this watch gains approx a second a day. What do you want lol. Total package. My apologies won't attach pic from phone. But just typed this out on my mobile so it's not going to be in vain lol. Pic to follow....no doubt. |

Black Bay is a great watch. When I look at this thread I feel like I need to get the blue to go with my red!
