When exactly was the Ceramic Sea Dweller 4000 116600 first sold in the market place?

I have just been offered a Ceramic Sea Dweller 4000 that the seller says dates from 2011. I rang Rolex London who told me the Ceramic SD 4000 was introduced in 2008. I have been out of touch with all things Rolex for a while, but I thought, probably wrongly, that the Ceramic SD 4000 was a more recent model than 2011. So, when exactly was the 116600 introduced? Thanks in advance for any replies.

I belive the 116600 came out in 2014.
Before that there was the SD4000 16600 but this model was discontinued in 2008.

.

SD 4000 was disclosed at Basel in march 2014 and available in the AD's shops in june 2014.
Previous SD 16600 was discontinued mid 2008.

Rolex London who told you the Ceramic SD 4000 was introduced in 2008 made a confusion with SD Deepsea that was disclosed in 2008.

Thanks very much for your replies. I told the seller his watch must be fake and he got nasty. The serial number he gave me was 5196Y723. Rolex London do not recognise this serial number. Thanks again.

It's likely that he looked it up on one of the Internet Charts for a date. All Random serials come up, falsely, as 2011
