Ribs/Steakhouse in South Beach/Miami

Hi everyone,I know there are quite a few of you members here that live in the Miami and South Beach area, or Ft.Lauderdale for that matter. I am taking the wife and kids for our semi annual trip in that area for two weeks on the 20th and even though we have been to many restaurants in the area, I am looking for a good place to eat Ribs and/or steak. Keep in mind we have our children with us who generally are pretty well behaved at 7 1/2yrs old and 5 1/2 yrs old. Our daughter loves ribs and our boy loves the streaks. Any recomendations would be great!! My kids will thank you for it....and so will I

I like The Meat Market @ 915 Lincoln Rd, a fun part of Miami Beach a few blocks north of South Beach. Last time I looked it was Gayot rated in the top 10 Steakhouses in Miami.

Prime 112 in SoBe is one the best steaks I've ever had; and I've been to almost all of the great ones.

Tongue and cheek is solid. Prime 112 is great, but obscenely expensive.

Joes stone crab also makes a mean steak.

Prime 112, expensive as heck but good.
Palm

For a different treat, Brazilian skewer, all you can eat:
Texas de Brazil
Fogo de Chao

Steak 954 in Fort Lauderdale. Outside dining. Expensive but excellent.

Prime is amazing. Havanna Harrys in The Gables is excellent for Churasco. Extremely extremely bang per buck!

( just incase your interested) Best italian food on the beach is a place in south point called Papa E Ciccia that most people dont know about. The chef there is one of my best friends.

Agree with this.

Caution: Though it was the best I ever had, like the others said,it is expensive.
Went with my closest friend who I only see a few times a year in 2013. We still talk about it! Kobe bone in ribeye. Amazing...at $180 per,it should be...and was.
Add a few stone crab claws and a great bottle of wine...

Well, big bucks, but we still talk about it!

Prime 112. My favorite steak house anywhere. We've taken the kids there since they were very young. When she was little, my daughter used to order the fried shrimp and ask for the ones that were bigger then her flip flops. Amazing steak and fabulouse wine selection.

Definitely try the Palm in Miami and Steak 954 in Ft Lauderdale. Both expensive but worth it. On a less extravagant note definitely try Chima in Ft Lauderdale. Its a Brazilian all you can eat style place but worth the $50 they charge per person.

Quality Meats is nice, a sister restaurant to the Quality Meats in NYC. Very good service.

Joe's stone crab also offers great steaks.

Enjoy Miami, I love it there.

I was there in March and we loved a place called Yardbird. It is southern comfort food and the ribs were delicious as was the fried chicken and such. Red was a big disappointment for me. Enjoy your trip.

How about Smith and Wollensky on Washington Ave or The Forge Restaurant and Wine Bar on West 41st?

Yardbird is my favorite restaurant, bar none. Everything there is amazing (and pretty reasonably priced).

And as has been said before, Prime 112 is incredible.

I'll be down in December and am already planning on Prime 112, Yardbird and Joe's.
