Platinum Day Dates with fluted Bezel possible?

Does anyone know if Rolex released DDII or will release DD40 platinum versions with fluted dial? I was under the impression that these only come in smooth bezel from factory.

Not from factory, but it can be done.

I've handled a 118206 that had been fitted with a factory white gold fluted bezel at the owner's request (he thought the domed bezel was "too plain"). This was done by a Rolex-certified (but no longer Rolex-employed) watch maker.

It looked great and the weight was surprising, but I'll confess when I saw it I assumed it was a WG model with a glacier dial swapped in.

If it had a fluted bezel, that would probably push me over the edge.....
