Question about posting pictures of Rolexes

I LOVE Rolexes. I just wanted to state that first so there wasn't any misunderstanding about what I'm saying next:

I've noticed that when invidividuals get a new Rolex and post pictures of it, they many times will post a half dozen or more pictures of their watches, different angles, etc. A lot of people on here have amazing photography skills and I appreciate that as I couldn't even be considered a novice photographer. I just think its kind of funny to post several pictures of watches when we all know exactly what they look like.

I think it would be different if someone recently acquired an older Rolex or one that is seen more rarely. But when someone comes on and posts 50 pictures of their SS Sub w/Date I think its a little redundant.

Then again, I probably would do the same thing when I acquired one.

I think it is more about sharing good experiences and celebrating with other like minded people who appreciate the same values

Most of us don´t have a life.

We love the watches like our babies, I believe I have more pics of my watches than
I have on the kid.

I´m happy not only my wife believe I´m freak.

So come on, post some watch pics.

When you have a keen interest in something or someone, even though it may look the same to others, each one of those have individual characteristics.

I am not much into shoes. To me, the color is about the most distinguishing factor. But to someone who likes shoes, even the slightest addition or deletion of a stitch is enough to declare it worthy of discussion.

For me, I can not see enough of these great watch pictures, as each one of the have distinguishing characters.

Hi,

I have not been here long, but there is a cameraderie here that makes it a very special place and I am happy to be amongst genuine enthusiasts.

I have seen Bo,Mike,JJ,Steve,Jocke and many others answer the same questions many times and provide amazing insight into this very special product (hobby, obsession)or whatever it means to you.

They also share their AMAZING collections without showing off or bragging and Jocke shows his unbelieveable talents in the photography (Mike's are pretty sharp too)

Nobody minds if your pictures are not perfect and we all like to share in the joy of owning a very special timepiece

So post photographs and enjoy TRF

Regards Mike.

Well, I've been through 3 Rolexes and currently am not an owner of one. Although I am selling one for a co-worker in the Classifieds section.

What is may be even more amazing is people owning a sub and telling "great watch" everytime thet see a modern sub on the forum.

I think TRF rules should state that every third post must have a pic

i love when other members post pics of their watches, for a number of reasons...

i get to share their joy... in the research, the possible purchase, the unveiling...and the wearing of their rolex.

i get to see watches that i havent seen before. i get an appreciation of them. until frequenting this forum...i wasnt keen at all on 2 colour bezels...that is until i saw amazing pics of them here... hence the reason i bought one last week.

speaking for myself...buying one is an achievement, as im far from being rich... its a case of working hard and making sacrifices to enjoy this hobby.
