I had both a Panerai sub, the 024, and I also have the DSSD. The panerai is gone and I would never think of selling my DSSD. It has a wrist presence that is like no other. It is shiny and when sized correctly is perfect. The glide lock also helps on hot days. Priceless for me. I also had a rubber b, really helps for comfort but I missed the beautiful bracelet, so I took off the rubber b. But it definetely is an option. I say buy the DSSD, you are man enough and will get used to it!!

I vote DSSD, but I would check out a pam to throw in the collection too. Any 1950s case luminor. Strap options are endless :D

Had JC and black and sold them both most uncomfortable watch I've owned and the bracelet taper is too severe imho. Regularly wear a Pam 422 and a green Sub C, I suspect that in titanium the 305 will wear very well.

As a daily beater, never a PAM.

Sounds like you want a big flashy beater.
How about the 48mm Blancpain 500 Fathoms??? They even have it in a GMT. If you want something a bit smaller the 45mm Blancpain 50 Fathoms looks great. If you want a more limited version of this watch the Tribute to Aqualung or No Radiation are both sweet looking... An something completely left field...Grand Seiko Diver. Its 44mm and they look really nice and are amazingly accurate. |

I'd choose the PAM. Great watch and excellent daily beater.

The DSSD would be my choice on in this case! the glidelock clasp would be the deciding factor for me, with a watch of this size.
