Flip Daytona 116520 for DD40 228239 ??!

Once again I'm considering another purchase. Attached is the new DD40 WG Blue Dial that I'm contemplating and since I only want one Rolex, I would sell my recently purchased Daytona and add cash. What do you think ? I'm not looking at saving and adding the DD later. It's now or never. Therefore ...

Would you keep the Daytona and pass or do the trade ? I think the DD40 is quite an amazing piece and the Romans take it up a notch. Thanks as always for the candidness !!

Common sense would ask what else you have in your collection if you only want one Rolex. This will wear quite dressy, so if the rest of your watches are Patek for example then the Daytona gives more variety. Overall I think this is a good trade, but they are very different watches.

All depends on what you like better and what you need it for.

The two watches are at such different ends of the spectrum it would be almost impossible for me to speculate. Several pros and cons of each...so get what it is that stirs your passion.

Go with your gut....there is no logic in this hobby! I will say though, you hang around these forums long enough, you will end up with more than one Rolex!

A resounding yes for me. Love your attitude, now or never. Go for it. The blue Roman dial is the best combination for the white gold DD 40 in my opinion.

I've been struggling with the same question ever since trying one on a few weeks ago. I'd miss the Daytona but that's one watch that could make everything alright. You go first and let me know how you make out. My gut feeling is that everything will be OK.

I have not seen the blue dial but the pictures look very stunning! Go for it if the Daytona is not being worn.

Just because you said that, I'll say no. It's a beautiful watch. I've seen it in person. But, I struggle with The new Romans. I want to like them, but I can't.

Otherwise, I'd say yes too.
