How to set date on Rolex Datejust

Hello everyone,

My father recently passed down his vintage Rolex DateJust to me that he received as a college graduation gift in 1978. Currently the watch changes the date at 12:00 PM. How do I set the Datejust to where the date will change at 12:00 AM.

Thanks

Oh and then pull out the crown to the first stop and adjust to the correct date.

Lovely watch I used to have one very similar. Look after it well and it will keep going forever. If you have nay doubts on how to set you will find instructions on youtube as well. AS per above full outset to set the hours, when you turn past true midnight the date will change then just wind forward if before midday and set the hour or wind through a full 12 hours into the back half of the day to set the time. Then go in one notch to set the date.

Great watch. Mine was a gift from my parents in 1984 (new). Just had it serviced and it looks and runs like new. Take care of it and you will be able to hand it down to your kids.

Question answered. Let's end it there and always accept that there will be questions that open up the possibility of condescending replies - and that as a community we can rise above that.
