I agree. There is no pics that do it justice. Enjoy that beast!
I saw one recently on a trip to Nassau and when I went back to make the purchase it was gone.
I'll be joining the club though. That's for sure.

Congrats!!
Actually it doesn't, only 3900m, Mariana is a bit deeper

DSSD 116660
WATERPROOFNESS
12,000 m | 39,370 ft

The Mariana Trench:
The deepest point in the trench, known as Challenger Deep, lies some 11,000 metres (nearly 7 miles) below the surface. If Mount Everest, the world’s tallest peak, were set in the trench, there would still be approximately 2,000 metres (1.3 miles) of water above it.

I apologize, you are correct. It’s only rated for 3900 Meters. The specs above is for the Special Engineered Watch for the diver.

I did find the balance somewhat difficult to get right, but then I removed the diver extension like others have said and bingo - sits perfectly.

To be honest, not sure how removing the extension helped, but it did :). Maybe the others can chime in.

Had the opportunity to purchase one for an uncle a month or two ago via the local AD and the dial was a beauty. Find the DeepSea to be top heavy though. But that's me. What's important is YOU love it. Congratulations on the piece!!

When I see some feedback about the watch being " Too Big", I smile.
Yes, it is big, BUT not too, in my opinion only.
If you have a minimal collection of even 2 or 3 pieces, which seems everyone here does, then the size becomes inconsequential, IMHO.

Then there is the matter of the technological implementation. I do have to say, what has been done here by ROLEX has been impressive, to go that deep and have it be as reliable as a SubC, its simply marvelous.
I have no regrets getting my DSSD, I look and gaze at it everyday, along with my Hulk. To have the techbnological marvel and have it exist alongside the legendary reliability of a ROLEX, to last for decades of reliability, there just is NO substitute.

I was on another forum a few weeks ago, where we had a spirited discussion about transparent casebacks on some watches and their dollar values, how it affects dollar values. I mentioned I did not care much about it and there is a reason why ROLEX
values have stayed and rised as time goes by, they stick with their values.
This is INHERENT and visible in DSSD.
They can have their transparent casebacks. I will take my PLAIN ROLEX caseback ( Titanium for DSSD) anyday..LOL
No offense intended pls...:)

Awesome, such a gorgeous watch. You certainly made the right choice, every time I see the D-blue I regret that I only bought the black dialled model!

Congrats! It's amazing how comfortable the DSSD is considering its wrist present. My black dial DSSD says hi!

After reading this thread, I tried giving boutique and AD around the country around a call!! No one has the piece. Just when all hope seems lost, my preferred boutique called and said that one is coming in tomorrow!! I'm glad today that I'll be joining you guys soon in the D Blue owner club!! Beautiful piece!

I have the black DSSD and removed the divers extension on that. When I bought my D-Blue, that was the first thing I did. It gives the watch a more balanced feel. Between my DSSD and my D-Blue, the rest of my collection almost never get any wrist time anymore.

Was offered MSRP with the booklet and a complementary servicing to have the brushed look back down the line? Unsure what it was called. Only caveat is they would have to order and should be expecting one in a month or so. Decisions decisions....

Did you get your left cuff tailored to make it fit?

I have a 7.3-7.4 inch wrist and a slight room for wrist movement in the cuff is enough to snug in the watch
