I own Ferragamo loafers and I own Gucci loafers.
They are both excellent but the Gucci ones are 100 times more comfortable and seem to do much better with sweat. I also suffer from tailor's bunion and the Gucci loafers seem to hug the area much better without leaving an indentation on the leather. |

I have Ferragamo, Gucci, Prada, and Tod's. Ferragamo is for me the most comfortable, especially on long days. I probably would not buy Prada again, not that there is anything wrong with them but the other three are just better shoes IMO.

I have a nice Versace pair I love, but I like the Gucci line up after seeing them here.

I have two pairs of Ferragamos, one pair from Allen Edmonds. I prefer the Ferragamos by far. Gucci didn't fit me well, and I felt the Prada one's I've tried on are of substantially lower quality than the others.

I have a few pairs of Ferragamo, Cole Haahn, Allen Edmond, and Church's. All are nice. Like most things, quality products last a long time as long as you care for them. My biggest gripe about high-end shoes are leather soles. I walk practically everywhere so I gravitate to rubber soles or get a thin rubber sole applied to most shoes.

I gotta stay off these kinds of threads. I am thinking about a grabbing pair of Ferragamo suede or nubuck bit drivers.

This pair of Ferragamos is about 15 years old - resoled twice. At least twice per year taken to cobbler to be cleaned and conditioned as well as regular polishing, sort of like a detail vs regular car wash. I believe they've got another 15+ years!

Ferragamo. Longest lasting shoes I've owned. Purchased these Ferragamo's in the late 1980's at a Nordstrom in L.A. Resouled twice. Very soft Calf leather. Perfect fit ,quality and long lasting. Don't wear them anymore. They've taken me around the globe several times on business back in the day. I remember spending at least $350 for them, back then, which was a considerable amount of money! Quality shoe.

Thanks Mike! This is very helpful. The Ferragamos may be better for my flat feet. The Guccis look slipper like with the rubber pebble soles. I plan on going to the King of Prussia mall as soon as I can to try 'em all on.

I prefer Ferragamo and own several pairs of the Parigi and Magnifico. You should know that Ferragamo now allows you to customize your own Parigi Driving shoes. Leathers, Bits, and Sole colors are limitless! On a side note, I actually prefer my driving shoes in suede as opposed to leather...so much softer.

Uh huh Bill! Hit up Nordstrom and also the Ferragamo and Gucci boutiques. I prefer to buy at Nordstrom because they have an awesome, flexible return policy.
