1968 GMT History

Just been in contact with the previous owner of my watch and he has just supplied an outline of its history from his Army days.

16/11/82 – 23/3/82 - UK Specialist Team Royal Engineers Barton Stacey (STRE)

22/3/83 – 29/3/83 - Cyprus

30/3/83 – 7/6/83 - STRE

8/6/83 – 7/6/83 - Canada

29/7/83 – 24/9/83 - STRE

25/9/83 – 24/10/83 - Cyprus

25/10/83 – 30/12/84 - STRE Demob

It did have the hands changed but so long ago that they do not glow.

Great set! I see the handwritten guarantee booklet there; is the other guarantee in the picture (at roughly 9 o'clock) the store's own guarantee? I'd never seen that paper before.

Mine is 68' as well, with the same handwritten guarantee w/ Bexley photographed inside. Hah handwriting even looks the same!

No that is Rolex paperwork I will try and take a photo of just those bits and pass it on. I will also find the name of the Jewellers that sold it.
