[Identify] Jomashop: Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Ultra Thin Moon 39 fake box?

Just received my JLC MUT 39 from Jomashop and immediately I noticed the box looks totally off. All the in unboxing videos and classified posts for this watch I have seen have had a light taupe colored box with wood accents. Does Jomashop sell authentic watches with aftermarket/knockoff boxes? I certainly hope the watch is real. I haven't unwrapped the watch it self. The watch has protective plastic wrapping around the bezel, rear case and dial.

Jomashop sells old watches dealers couldn't sell. I can look at my box later, but don't surprised if they fiddled with your watch before selling it.

looks like an old box. seen them in some unboxing and for sale pics. It's worth noting Jomashop is a grey market dealer, not a boutique or authorised dealer. That's also why they provide their own warranty.

I've bought JLC's going back to 2000 and I have never seen a box like that before. Most of them are a kind of pinkish beige leather with light wood. The only think might be if JLC have just introduced this style of box recently.

I would be surprised if that's the case, as the watch has protective film that hasn't been peeled off yet. Has anyone purchase a JLC from jomashop before? I'm trying to discern if this is consistently normal for them, or did I draw the short straw.

This box seems 100% legit to me. Handled a new jlc last week at my ad { true second} and the box was identical to this one.

Looks like the box is a real JLC box. Same box as this classified ad: http://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=437715

And I thought I had the newer box. I just recently purchased a Geophysic True Second and mine came with the wood trimmed box. Makes no difference to me anyway. Haven't seen that box since I went out of that boutique.

Jomashop doesn't "sell old watches dealers couldn't sell". They operate exactly the same way TRF sellers do, apart from being very protective of their sources and not sending the warranty card. That is the new style box, 100% legit.

I bought an Omega Speedmaster "TinTin" from Jomashop a couple of weeks ago. It was definitely not an "old watch". It was completely correct and I got a great price.

FWIW I bought an Oris many years ago from Joma and it came in the wrong box. It was a nice new box but for the wrong (but similar) model. I called customer service and the person I spoke to was extremely helpful. They took the time to dig through their stuff and made sure they found the right box with all the booklets and tools, inner and outer box etc that are supposed to come with the watch. They sent me pictures to make sure it was right and then paid the shipping to get the boxes exchanged.

I was 100% happy with them.
