Hi, Guys,

I was about to post this and saw this thread. There is going to be a NAWCC Watch and Clock Show, Thursday 2/18/16-Sunday 2/21/16

Ventura County Fairgrounds
Ventura, CA
Thursday 2/18/16-Sunday 2/20/16

http://www.venturacountyfair.org/events/

There are a lot of restaurants in the area.

If not, the Honor Bar in Beverly Hills has been very accommodating to the last two GTG's

If you are meeting somewhere near or at South Coast Plaza I should be able to make it on the 20th, depending on the time. Let me know time and location once it is decided.

Steve, What about the Honor Bar in Beverly Hills. they have hosted the last two GTG's and they are close to parking and a number of very nice watch stores including Rolex, a Panerai Watches Official Boutique, etc. We all enjoyed the food and it was not overpriced.

Agreed!! The Honor Bar is a great place to host a GTG. The food is great, there is parking 1 block away and you're really centrally located... Lots of great boutiques within walking distance.

the problem with that place is they cannot place some tables together: they put you in separate tables. it's better to have a big table so you can meet everyone.
a place like il fornaio or the farm (both on n beverly drive) can seat the group together.

We did not have any trouble at the GTG's, there have been three I think, two of which I attended. They just put us in tables within 10' of each other and we ate lunch and went to the other tables and the other tables people came over to talk to us. People at tables switched with people at our table. It is nicer than one big table because you are not stuck in one place and can move around.

If we hold it for when the place opens up we can pick our location and tables. They were were very accommodating.

If you like French Dip I have had it both times because it is so good. There are a lot of other things on the menu. Everybody seemed happy with their choices.

Lunch

The closer we get to 11:30 the better the seating arrangements will be. It starts to get busy around 12+. If a few of us get there a little before we can pick the seats. There is one booth, that I think we had seven or eight people at with three smaller tables close by.

As I recall, there is an attached restaurant that we can also order from. I could not find the info on it.

I am in for BH.

the restaurant portion is called the south beverly grill: the honor bar itself only has bar seating and a row of 2/4 tops.

Thanks, I could not remember the name of the restaurant. The GTG was called the Honor Bar for reference. We actually ate at the restaurant which is attached.

Here is the menu:

http://hillstone.com/menus/southbeve...ll%20Lunch.pdf

Which includes:

CAMPFIRE RIB-EYE prime cut, with blue cheese tomatoes
PRIME NEW YORK STRIP STEAK french fries & watercress salad
USDA PRIME FILET center-cut tenderloin with sautéed spinach

South Beverly Grill (part of Honor Bar): 122 S. Beverly Drive, Beverly Hills, 90212.

Steve, If you are going to be there for lunch only, they have their own small parking lot. At 11:30 there is no one there. Getting towards 12 it starts filling up.

Here are some close public parking garages:

Beverly South Public Parking
Parking Garage
216 S Beverly Dr • (310) 285-2467
Open until 12:00 AM

B
Public Gardens Public Parking
Parking Garage
242 N Beverly Dr • (310) 285-2467
Open 24 hours

C
Crescent South Public Parking
Parking Garage
221 N Crescent Dr • (310) 285-2467
Open until 12:00 AM

Info on Parking Garages:

http://www.beverlyhills.org/citygove...ingstructures/

The 216 address has the first two hours free and I believe it is the closest to the Honor Bar.

I will be their!

OK I'll be there at 11:30am.
I'm on a motorcycle so I can park that on the sidewalk, is that correct?

It is official.

Steve will be at the Honor Bar on this Saturday, 2/20/16 at 11:30

I started a new thread to let everyone that may have missed the first one that there is a definite date.

http://www.rolexforums.com/showthrea...84#post6480384

Who else will be there?

Can I park a motorcycle on the sidewalk?

The short answer is no. Under the California Vehicle Code section 22500, no motor vehicle may be parked on the sidewalk, including motorcycles. However, some jurisdictions do not enforce this rule. (San Francisco, for example, used to be very lax about this. They still are, we believe, but to a lesser degree than they were ten years ago. In other words, park on the sidewalk at your own risk!) Here's the relevant law:

CVC § 22500
No person shall stop, park, or leave standing any vehicle whether attended or unattended, except when necessary to avoid conflict with other traffic or in compliance with the directions of a peace officer or official traffic control device, in any of the following places:
. . .
(f) On any portion of a sidewalk, or with the body of the vehicle extending over any portion of a sidewalk . . . . Lights, mirrors, or devices that are required to be mounted upon a vehicle under this code may extend from the body of the vehicle over the sidewalk to a distance of not more than 10 inches.
