If anything, I think that they should discontinue the black original version since all the demand seems to be towards the DSSD blue. Then, it might drive up the desire for the discontinued black version.

Yes sir my regular diver I have max at 60 metres, lovely piece of equipment well made ,good lumes good readibilty at depths

Hey all,

Just wanted to say hey! This is my first ever Rolex. My wife got the black DSSD for me for my birthday last December. Our jeweler had just received the black one in stock for the Xmas season, but my wife made certain they would take it back if I wanted to get the D-Blue.

It was a HUGE surprise for my 40th birthday. I love the black version but when she told me she was totally cool with me returning the black one if I wanted the D-Blue, I was ready to switch. She actually wanted to get me the D-Blue, but they didn't have one, nor had they had one in several months.

I returned the black model and paid the difference for the D-Blue. They told me I was next on the list and they would call me when the next one arrived...

Tic tock...tic tock...

Nearly 6 months later I got the call last week! The watch is amazing and I SO want to start wearing it but I have had it in the safe since I picked it up until I can add it to my insurance. Also, the jeweler is actually throwing in a Black Rubber B tang buckle strap since it took so long and I think I want to throw that on to wear it on a day to day basis.

So excited right now.
