It's rare to find a WIS and even rarer to find a lady WIS.

I had my one week old AP15400 on flying to Melbourne from Sydney and the Flight attendant commented about how nice my watch was, he was rocking a TT GMT. As best as he had time to chat we talked watches, he was an infrequent member of TRF.

It's great you had a nice time talking with a female WIS Danny... But... boy, she sure had hairy arms.

Cool story! I have met WIS on planes, mostly to Asian countries. Lots of fun to pass time talking watches!

This is cool Danny. I don't usually chat in planes but last week I met a very nice guy @Fuddruckers who is a manager there. He has a nice Sub with faded bezel from 1973. We had a nice time talking about watches and he also said that he comes here to TRF sometimes.

I'm sure it made for a nice flight.
Did she mention if or what else she had?

Making conversation on a plane! Nooooo

When I die, if there is a hell, I'll be going there. I know I'll have two choices: an endless Disney cruise, where I'll be doomed to sail the seas on a 1000'x150' ship packed with screaming children, or be forced to fly through eternity on a plane full of Chatty Cathies. Ha!

Great coincidence! Sounds like a fun way to kill time during a flight.

I once sat next to Lord John Browne on a St. Petersburg to London BA flight, post-retirement from BP. He was wearing a Breguet tourbillon, I my JLC MUT RG (no contest :) )...we talked watches and energy for 2 hours. Great gentleman.

Greetings,
I seem to usually just find bald headed fat guys sitting next to me.
YMMV,

A few weeks ago my pilot had a BLNR. He said private pilots are a very elite class or so they think and judge each other on the watch they wear. To be honest this is the first time I recognized the watch. Usually they have some pilot specific contraption I have never seen. Being un educated about their watch I opt for "hello, please don't crash" instead of watch talk. Finally I got a nice, personable, Rolex wearer.

I'm a pilot, only ever seen 1 GMT and that was on my old mechanic friend. He maintained the 172 I flew. Most guys I know wear Casio or Seiko. And every airline pilot I've interacted with, and that's a A LOT, wear something similar.
