I am about to break into their hideout

Yes, I am about to break into this creeps hideout who buys and sell stolen watches! This all began when a guy I know asked me if I want to trade my SD to his Omega Seamaster, which I replied, are you out of your mind? no way ( no offense to Omega owners )! I asked him where he got it and he told me a little secret. He got in China Town from a guy who buys and sells stolen watches. Mostly Rolexes he mentioned, and asked me if I am interested! Of course I am I said and told him that I am looking for a Sub. ! I asked him about serial numbers and he told me that they either change a number or make it look so faded that it is unnoticeable! ( don't know if possible ). So I guess, this is the real deal.
Now, my plan is just to be lured to his location and pretend that I am really interested and try to negotiate where he won't give the watch away! It might be a little scary but I think I can do this!
As soon as I have all the facts, I will report this bastard to the Police! May the force be with me!

If this is a serious post, I suggest contacting the authorites before you take any further action.

You could be charged with posession of stolen property and probably a myriad of other crimes, or you could be hurt if the thieves want to protect their interests at the expense of your health.

Report it to the authority and have them send an undercover cop instead of yourself.
They may rob your SD at gunpoint!
or, call KCAL-9 or other news agency to do their investigation.

Like I said, I will negotiate where he might think I am crazy! I will make sure that we don't end up agreeing to anything!

No, he said this is just a regular jewelry store where you could walk in and out but that they don't reveal themselves to just anyone!

You're not the brightest bulb on the old Christmas tree ehh?

To what is your point? Did you want to be a cop when you were little and this is your way of living out the fantasy? I can assure you this is a bad idea on many levels not the least of which is the safety of yourself or your family. I have spent the majority of my career dealing in this element of people and you don't have a clue as to what you are doing.

Leave this to the professionals. Call the local authorities. Many will give you a reward for the arrest and conviction. In MN it can amount to 10% of the cash received and then you can go out and buy yourself a new Rolex from an AD. Much safer and smarter..

I think I kinda over-reacted out of anger! You are all correct, I will just notify the authorities as soon as I found out exactly where they are! No No I will not go in there, I'll ask my guy for the location!

Hi Mickey,

Might as well hijack Steve's thread while I'm at it.

It was great talking to you last week.

How are you enjoying OZ?

Erwin,

Why tread where you don't know where your next footfall will land?

You know what happens to guys who try to live by the sword!!

Take it easy, buddy. Maybe you've been watching too many Bond films , but I really wouldn't bother with something that doesn't concern me.

JJ
