Sturgis- Bikes, Babes and ? Let's hear your tales! Not office safe

I didn't want to hijack the post in Rolex so I thought I would start another. Since Rally Week is a few weeks away I thought I would post a few pics of a trip I was on a few years ago.

Unfortunately, I was in a bad accident with said RoadKing and don't ride currently so I won't be going anytime soon. Let's hear some stories, see some pics of your bikes, whatever...

My '02 Road King Classic. I had the engine completely redone by one of Carl's Speed shop top Guru Gregg, who now resides in MN. Back when I was young, dumb and full of..well you get it, I went nuts and had the bike built to be a bullet. 0-60 it could wax most crotch rockets (under 4 sec.) and I ran a quarter mile with it in 11.01 once. Those are silly numbers for a Harley Bagger. I loved to see the look on people's faces when they saw me "pop a wheelie" with it!

The people watching here is the greatest. You will see half naked women (some you'd rather not see), a pack of Hells Angeles and grandparents with their grandkids all walking down the street together.

Some of the wildest bikes anywhere..

This guy rode this 40's HD from California..Not me!!!

Did I mention there was some, ahhh interesting people.
http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a1...3/scan0010.jpg

And..
http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a1...3/scan0011.jpg

What sets going to Sturgis a part from other rallies is of course the riding but watch out for the wild life!

Speaking of wildlife, we pulled over at this stop and there was a snake show. My buddy bet me $50 I wouldn't let them put this Python around my neck. He LOST! The best part was when I chased him around the parking lot while he screamed like a little girl!

I did mention Babes didn't I? This gal I chatted with didn't like to ride as a passenger. She was a former Miss Fitness something..I didn't notice as I was admiring her ahhhhm BIKE!

Lastly, We met Miss EasyRider. Wholy smokes. So you can get the idea, my friend and I are both just shy of 6'0 and we are wearing boots too. She was at least 6'3" and stunning.

It was one of the best trips I have ever been on.
To anyone thinking about going, DO. The scenery is spectacular both riding and in town.

For all who are going, I am jealous but wish to say,"Ride safe, be well and have fun!"

Here is what the beer girls look like at Daytona:

Mickey, I got into the archives and found some sights besides buffalo, bikes or beer! Enjoy. I've have more when I return. (The last pic are the girls from Bunny Ranch that appear on the HBO series Cathouse. They wore GMT's and were as sweet as Pussy Galore, the James Bond arch-villan.)

Great pics to all. I believe these photo's were from my first or second year which would be '02 or '03. How funny would it be if that was you...

So true..Even with the 11 gallon tank on my King I could only go around 110 MI between stops. After the performance work I had done it would only run premium with an octane booster added or the $6 gallon 100 octane racing fuel. That, I don't miss.

Let's see and hear some more Sturgis stories. Remember folks, if you are going to post PG+ pics, do so in a link. Keeps everyone happy and they can still be viewed.

Cheers,

David

Given the riding position and the suspension, I doubt I could physically sustain a ride of more than 50 miles before having to take a rest.

As I said it is a beautiful bike, but I would definitely use it to cruise down Sunset Boulevard and park it outside some cool bar/cafe

I totally agree with you Steve. My buddy had this cool custom and we traded steads and after an hour I told him I wanted my King back. It would be a fun bar hopper but to take on a trip, I'll pass. My other friend had a "custom" FatBoy look alike and he rode it out to Sturgis. He had to stop twice on the way out because the damn thing kept shaking off parts.

It's got some Jesse James stuff on it, notice all of the 44 mag shells on the rims and on top of the fork tree. I kind of know him through another friend that does most of his seat work on his customs.

Steve,

What's going on? I sensed some form of discrimination there.

EEO is now legislated.
