Go buy it. At least they got you one.
Same thing happened to me a while back when the BLNR was hot. I wanted one. I went into Ben Bridge. Basically they told me I was not a "VIP" customer and they would not sell me any of the three they had had and their "list" was even longer than that. I explained that I have over the years (lot of years as I don't buy high end watches every month) purchased a Rolex and a few Omega's from their company. Well because it wasn't at that specific store and too much time has passed to be in their system still I was basically a new customer. I wrote a letter to BB corporate. They apologized but yet still had no watch for me. I went and bought from Takuya with almost a full warranty. I will never spend another dime with Ben Bridge. Makes me feel better. End of the day go get the watch. You will LOVE it. |

Thank you guys for your input.
I try to live my life with uprightness as a guideline. This is why I have neglected buying from other sources after registering with the local dealer. I am 99% sure that the local AD decided to not give a damn about the list, and that he is offering what he has in stock. It would be too much of a coincidence that I am suddenly at the top of the list hours after having written them. That means that if I accept, I will be jumping the queue and I really don't find that the ethical choice. I will pass on the watch and just make do with my current 16710. |

That's sticking to your principles / have to respect that. I'd hop On a plane to a neighboring country with a BLNR ASAP though so you can also have the prize.

This isn't a kidney on a transplant list, it's just a watch. There's no ethics involved.
I bet the watch is in the case and somebody walking up to the store not on the list could buy it. If you don't want to spend money there from how you were treated, I understand, but not buying a watch worried about others is a stretch. Why torture yourself? |

You waited seven months for the watch........the AD now says they have it and you didn't go right over and pick it up?? Obviously, you don't want the watch that much. |
