Swiss made dial? Need advice

Hi, can anyone tell me if the below 'Swiss Made' under 6 o'clock is wrong for this OP 6494. Correct me if I'm wrong, "Swiss Made' only appear after 2000 when luminova was used. When they took out the 'T' and went to 'Swiss' from 1990 and then to 'Swiss MAde' in 2000.
No question this is a refinished dial, just want to know if the detail was done wrong.
Thanks.

What about the date window? Mind you I am not an expert on vintage Rolex so I will let the experts comment on this.

Yes, that's a refinished dial...a bad one at that. Regarding your statement: "Correct me if I'm wrong, "Swiss Made' only appear after 2000 when luminova was used."
I will correct you, that statement is wrong.

Please forgive my ignorance but what's "wrong" with the refinish? Font type and size?

Nope, "Swiss Made" was definitely on Tritium dials before 2000.

Here's my 8.4mil serial Oysterdate (1984 manufacture) with original dial.

I'm no expert but nothing on that dial lines up. The minute markers, the coronet...

Looks simply awful if you ask me

Nice piece you got there.

Yours has 'T-Swiss Made-T' which is surely to appear on dials before 2000, thats common. But the one in my photo is 'Swiss Made' without the 'Ts'. Rolex used 'Swiss Made' only before titrium was used and went back to it again when it switched to Luminova in the newer models.

Really hope someone can help clarify this.

The magnification of the date window on that crystal is horrible! Too many things wrong in just one picture, I would walk away unless it is priced so low that you can correct everything with correct parts.

The watch is too late of manufacture to have SWISS MADE. That would be before 1953. 6494 uses a 1215 or 1225 mvt. depending on how new or old it is. That mvt. didn't have SWISS MADE on a dial with markers like that. This is a 50's watch...but it's too late imho to have SWISS MADE.

Also..where are the lume dots? The hands are lume? No dots. It's refinished. It think it's fairly obvious.

Yes exactly, its too law to have 'Swiss Made', yet too early as well. Since Rolex only went back to using 'Swiss Made' when they switched to luminova.

Just wanted someone to confirm this...
