How Long for RSC Toronto
Hey All,
What are people's experiences with how long the Toronto RSC takes to perform a service? I've been waiting a month now and my patients just aren't good enough I guess. :) Thanks for any input. |

I've had three watches serviced at RSC Toronto. If it's a regular service it was in the 6 week range.

4-8 weeks is common.
fwiw, its worth asking an AD sometimes. their in-house rolex techs can sometimes have a quicker turnaround time with same warranty, papers, process like rsc. |

Everybody on this thread seems to be pleased with RSC Toronto. Are they really that good? Much better than other RSCs in the USA?

Five weeks for a regulation when sent via an AD. Compare to 20 minutes when I stopped by there last week.

Many ADs have Rolex-trained watchmakers that are part of the worldwide network of ROLEX AFFILIATE authorised by Rolex to service most Rolex watches.. And they follow exactly the same Rolex Service Procedure as any RSC,this is designed to ensure that every timepiece leaving a Rolex workshop complies with its original functional and aesthetic specifications.Plus you get exactly the same warranty and paperwork, but on the down side some will not be able to test watches like the DSSD to full water resistance.

Several experiences with Dallas, and it's 6-8 weeks.

And we all must remember that the newer triplock crowns can seize up when magnetised. When that happens it must be sent back to the Rolex factory Switzerland. As they are the only ones that can demagnetise,as they have a special demagnetisation contamination certified station.

For those of you that don't know if your watch is magnetised there's an easy way to find out.
Set your date to the 30th of the month and the time to 11.55 pm. Now watch it closely as it approaches midnight and you'll notice the date wheel will spin twice and end up on 32. At precisely the same time as this happens magnetism will travel to the crown and weld it shut. Do not try to force the crown as it now has to be sent in to Rolex in Switzerland like Peter said above. Of course as you all probably understand (and I say that lightly) if it ends up on 31 that means there's nothing wrong with your watch. Hope this helps and please let me know your results. |
