to have the bezel aligned correctly when you send it to Dallas for overhaul and new bezel after paying over $800.00 ?!??!

Apparently...ha. At least it's an aluminum one so you can pop it off and fix it yourself. Easy peasy DIY procedure.

Huh? I agree that's sloppy work by the RSC, but be without your watch for another few weeks versus a 2 minute (or less) DIY fix? Not sure why anyone would elect (or recommend) the former over the latter.

Key thing I found was if popping off the bezel, use a sharp knife (thin is the key) and I wrapped it in a ziploc bag. Helped keep the knife from marking the watch case when prying it off.

Pretty sure Jocke's tutorial is still out there...its the one I learned from when I used to swap mine out from one color to another.

It's surprising to me that they didn't take the time to properly align the insert. Having said that, it is a do it yourself fix.
