I'm flying out to the US in May, have already rang them about the availability of ss sports models, non was the answer and no you can't reserve anything, I will still have a good look round though

I was told in May that I could reserve a piece, but would have to pay a non-refundable deposit. No figure was given though.

OP: The 20% is simply the deduction of vat. If you buy at the airport on your way out of the EU, you have to pay it when you come back into the EU. Yes, we all know that many people don't, but let's be honest and admit that it's illegal.

Having said that, a starting point for negotiation on a PM piece was 5% and an offer to get any piece that was available into the store for my next visit. No need to pay a deposit unless I wanted first dibs on a piece that had to be ordered rather than transferred from another branch.
