BRILLIANT restaurant promotion!

Every year, one of the counties in my beautiful state puts together 'restaurant week'. Here is how it works: 100 restaurants, from top of the line (#3 in Mexico; top 10 in Latin America) to casual places offer three course meals for $7us or $15us excluding beverage. The idea is to have people visit new and exciting places, so new experiences are shared. In the end, the restaurants do not make profit on the meals but they promote in a very smart way their restaurants. To me: HEAVEN! Today, two more as this ends Sunday. I can go to places in which I usually pay over $100us per person and have a three course meal for $15us plus wine! HARD to beat!!!!!!

To be honest, there's a business opportunity that caters to the foodies!

All the food looks incredible. Is that in NL ?

It will be too late next year unless you're ready to climb the fence.

Wow! Great for the consumer and I'll bet in the long run the restaurants get new patrons as well as repeat business translating into more profits. Enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner G!

A friend of mine makes the same smashed potatoes that you have in your second photo. Super simple, and so delicious.

BRILLIANT restaurant promotion!

Looks fantastic and those prices are incredible!

We've have a promo like that called restaurant week. It started in Jan 1992 to ring in the new year. The original restaurant week would charge $19.92 ($19.93 in 93, etc) for a 3 course dinner. Lunch was less. The best part of this is you could order anything off the menu for that price. This allowed many people to try a restaurant they typically couldn't or wouldn't go to. It continued until 2004 or so when they revamped, re-priced. And expanded the program. Now it's a fixed menu and rarely representative of a restaurant's food.

We are currently in restaurant week now for $29 lunch and $42 dinner

Now, just about every major city in the US has their own restaurant week

I have found one can usually lead to the other.

Seriously, a heads up for next year would be awesome. That looks delicious.

Uuhhhmmmm! Nice!
This past Christmas I went to an incredible restaurant in France, amazing meals, wine, cheese... The owner is a one star Michelin chef but he was fed up with the stress in his restaurant in Paris. He moved to Bretagne to start a new business in a little village with high level dishes for affordable prices. Well, every year for Christmas offers a flat rate menu with delicious meals for 8$ with wine and dessert. He says is to thank every client for their support during the year!!
Is full every day!!

What a good idea!

Also offers people the opportunity to sample a higher end restaurant they ordinarily may not be able to afford.
