A salesman is one of the lowest forms of life on the food chain. Some are greast some are good some are mediocre. Some strive for excellence others just to make a buck off their lawful prey... the puiblic with no savvy.

It is not the great salesman or the good sales man that gives the bad reputation because they are generally treating people the way they want to be treated. Its the mediocre saleman who tries to scam and scare their customers into buying. All this type will ever have is customers. The rest will have clients. A customer is someone who shops with you just once and never comes back. A client is someone whom you have treated in the same manner you wanted to be treated, and they keep coming back again and again.

With the mediocre salesman the pleasure of buying the product they sold you wears off long before the lousy service takes over, and that is inexcusable.

To each his/her own I guess.

The size issue is not that big a deal for me, but the lack of date has always been a deal breaker for me when considering the Daytona. Are you trying to tell me you would be turned off by a Daytona being offered w/ a date? Why not a date/no-date option like the Sub? Seems perfectly reasonable to me.

The SS Daytona was only just revamped in 2000 with its own inhouse movement, so it's impossible that Rolex would consider stopping production so soon.

Awesome. I have a ton of golf hats, but none by Rolex. Very excited about this shift in their line.

Where can I get on the waiting list??

Yeah, then they could call them the "Date-Tona" and the "No Date-Tona".

I'm really not a fan of the date/cyclops on any watch. The problem with the Daytona is: where would the date go? It's already a pretty busy looking dial and I don't like how Tudor dealt with the date + subdials. The cyclops would just kill the whole look for me (although I know it's removable).
