General information
Several years ago I purchased a used Rolex, from a Rolex dealer. The watch will not stay wound but about 3 days while wearing it. Is this normal? Do I need to purchase a winder? Or should I just manually wind the watch for 5 minutes once a week?

Depends entirely on your activity level. If you are a moderately active person, you're movement should keep it would. If you spend most of your time at a desk, it may need an occasional wind.

Your watch needs to be repaired. It isn't normal for a wound and worn Rolex to stop running. Either take it to a Rolex dealer or some other reputable watch reoair source that has the parts and expertise to overhaul a Rolex.
